CapitolBuzz ACTION ALERT: Is Santorum Telling The Truth About His Iraq Views?

Over the weekend, Rick Santorum claimed that he has been critical of Bush's handling of Iraq but was unable to produce any kind of evidence to back up his claim. (We think that makes him a liar.)

Here's what Santorum told the Philadelphia Inquirer: "I have a very clear track record of being supportive of the policy, but not necessarily all of the tactics. [...] I still have concerns about our level of activity with respect to fighting the insurgency, and the number of former Baathists who are put in positions of power in the country and their relationships with Iran. I have expressed those concerns publicly and privately."

But Santorum's "public statements on those issues could not be found." This has got to be the first time that an elected official can't find a public statement he or she made.
