Canadian Government May Fall Monday - Prensa Latina

Montreal, Nov 26 (Prensa Latina) Political circles in Canada say the government of Canadian PM Paul Martin may collapse Monday.

Conservative opposition leader Stephen Harper, with support from three other parties, submitted a vote of censure to the House of Commons on Thursday.

Members of the Liberal Cabinet in power are involved in a scandal for accepting organized crime bribes to fatten election funds, denounced Harper.

The Liberals escaped a similar initiative earlier this year through tactical alliances with some legislators, but this time the Conservatives own 169 seats in the House vs. 133 for the Liberals.

PM Martin is holding firm, urging the opposition leader to take back his words and apologize.
